Im 35 weeks pregnant and for the last 3-4 weeks ive been having such back pains and stomach pains it about puts me in tears. I just had my appt the other day and its like they dont care and well i guess its nothing bc they just looked at me and nodded and... thats it. So its normal then for these pains? i mean since im basically being ignored about it, its normal? I just cant take it anymore. I know I dont do anything to cause them. I dont work (stay at home mom) and I just clean and relax all day. So all im wondering is if these pains then are normal? I have 2 other kids but experienced no symptoms of preg or labor, nothing with the both of them.. this is totally different so im a little lost. thanks everyone.

I feel for you. And empathize. I'm 36 weeks and I've had the worst back pains and Braxton Hicks for over a month, It has also started hurting often when the baby moves, I think she must be running out of room lol. I have 3 other children and never experienced it to this extent. But alas.... it is normal and the is nothing they can do for you. Try tylenol (I know, it didn't work for me either). Just hang in there, we're in the home stretch!

Hi,
When I was pregnant w/ my 3rd son I began to get severe stomach & back pains almost like a contraction. I was hysterical. Well, 3 yrs. later and having to deal w/ those attacks which increased until one day I was vomiting bile & beyond hysterical, hyperventalating. My husband took me to the hospital, after receiving pain meds and having a x-ray done they told me I had gallstones. I ended up having multiple stones & even had a blockage in the duct that went from my gallbladder to my pancrias. I ended up having my gallbladder removed & the stones from the duct removed microscopically. The doctors did say that women who have had children & even pregnant end up getting gallstones.
I suggest asking the doctor if they can do anything right now, which I doubt because your pregnant. If they can, as soon as you have the baby, make them do an x-ray, sonograms & MRI (which they did w/ me also) to find out if it is a problem w/ your gallbladder. Hopefully meds can desolve them, but if not have it removed a.s.a.p. The attacks will increase the longer you ignore the problem & the pain will worsen. ((Stay away from greasy foods, lettuce & spicy foods)) This seems to cause the attacks to come on, at least in my case.
Good Luck & God Bless You & Your Family!

Each pregnancy is different. My last was a horrendous one after 2 very normal and uneventful terms prior to the last one. Our bodies change with age, etc. Try laying on your right side, with a pillow between your knees and you legs slightly bent at the knee. This should alleviate some of the pressure your feeling. Otherwise, take it easy as you can, because with 2 other kids and a newborn, you will certainly need your rest. Best to you.
