Is it safe to use paper clips? If not what is a good alternative with comparable width and agility?

Besides the risk of infection strike branding is rarely used by professionals because of its innacuracy. you may very well end up with a large burn scar and nothing else. That is why most places if they will offer it offer it for free or little behind the counter (ie not on the pricelist) , the insurance is horrendous and its just not worth their money. There is also a risk that if you go too deep you can get Necrosis (skin rots and dies on the body) at the area. Most professionals use a cauterizing tool instead. Go to your local parlours, even if they dont offer it they may have someone who is willing to do it and has done it before professionally.

are you doing this yourself? don't! the risk of infection is so high. go somewhere that does them regularly. most home branding jobs end up looking like total crap. trust me, i know enough frat idiots who have horrible brands on them.

My brother branded himself using a paper clip when he was younger and it was an ugly scene. PLEASE see a professional and do not attempt yourself.
