Salamat Gayud means "thank you very much" in the Subano language of the Philippines.

It depends on who said that phrase. If he is a Malaysian, "Selamat gayut, or Selamat bergayut" is wishing you luck or happiness in conversations especially through the phone.
But if she or he is a Philippina, than it means "Thanks a lot" and should be written as "Salamat gayud."

It's actually "selamat gayud". It means "happy talking on the phone" and it is Malay language.
