My first daughter is due to a month and i want to name her Fairy Lou is that a good name to give to my baby?

I think that Fairy Lou is a very unusual name. It could also lead to ridicule as she gets older. I think I would reconsider. There are so many suitable names. Perhaps a discussion with family and friends can help you decide on a very special name.

Before you decide on the name for definate, consider all the not-so-nice things that other children could say about the name. I personally think Fairy is a really pretty name but I do think it might leave her open for some teasing.
At the end of the day, only you can make the name decision. Whatever name you are considering, just put yourself back in school and imagine how you would feel about it.

Fairy Lou? Ask yourself this question: When she is old enough to begin school will she be made fun of for having that name? I named my daughter Ariana. It is pronounced Air E Anna. Anyway, when choosing the name I thought to myself the question I just asked you. I couldn't think of any evil nick names that the bullies could call her and I loved the name so I named her just that, Ariana. We call her Airy for short. Now her brother calls her Scarey Airy. So, think twice about Fairy. Fairy could be a hard name to carry. First thing that comes to my mind is, Fairy is a Fairy. Good Luck! I'm also expecting. I've chosen Kaden for a boy and Breana for a girl. Breana pronounced Bree Anna.

If your thinking Fairy Lou. Then you might also consider. Dettol. Domestos.or Mr Muscle. Please dont call her Fairy Lou. There are lots of nice names for little girls.

fairy lou ? wouldnt be my choice but we all have different tastes in names...my 1st girl due in june and were naming her CLARA. best wishes for you and your daughter.

It will pass as a girls name but I think 'fairy' should be a middle name and be preceded by Angela.

You can't really ask strangers what you should name your baby but if you insist on doing so, go to www.women.com. they have baby name message boards there with actual other pregnant women and not idiots who will say "ur dumb" and tell you to name her Madison - a highly overrated name!
