It's a cyst. No big deal. Go to a Dr. and he'll lance it and squeeze the gunk out for you.

It's probably a fat deposit in one of your glands. Nothing you can do about it, and it's not going to hurt you. It could also be a plugged duct, in which case warm compresses and massage would help. It could also be the beginning of a ganglion cyst - which would just need to be watched. Usually, they come up and go down though - slightly bigger each time they come up. On the bone, could be the soft tissue beginning of a bone spur. That could get painful later as it thickens up with more bone cells, but would be easy to scrape off if caught early. I'd get this verfied by a doctor, of course. Could be lots of benign things.

It might be anything... including a pimple or ingrown hair. No one can tell you without examining it. Most lumps under the skin are found to be quite harmless. If it hurts, or doesn't start to resolve itself within a week or so, make an appointment with your doctor.

No one here can tell you what the lump was caused by or what it is. No one here can see or palpate the lump. You cannot get a diagnosis online. The only ones who can diagnose you are an MD, NP or PA and only after a physical exam and possibly diagnostics.
Go to your doctor for evaluation. Chances are it's harmless.

Get it checked out before you go beserk. Also have a friend look at it, One time my friend had a lump on the back of her ear and it turned out to be a black head. It could be a clogged pore. That is kinda gross, but oil can get trapped and build up.

more then likely its just a postauricular (behind the ear) lymphnode. this is perfectly normal. if you can move it around slightly and it is relatively soft its fine, but if it is inlarged, hard and not moveable you might want to get it checked out. they will inlarge though when you have a infection such as in the ear or sinuses. if you feel around you neck you will probably find more of these lymph nodes and the are part of your body.

There are lots of lymph nodes in that area; chances are good that's all it is, especially if you've been ill lately. If it's not a lymph node, then it's probably just a cyst, or even an infected hair follicle.
As they say - when you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.

Could be a tumor. Maybe a swollen lymph node. I had one and i constantly had cold symptoms for about 3 years. They gave me an antibiotic and it went away.

I have those on my scalp. They are called Fibrous Cysts, and not Cancerous. Now if it starts getting sore or growing, you need to go get it checked out..

it could be a lypoma (sp?). My husband has these all over his body, it is just a benign tumor of fat. He has had a few of them removed that were bothersome.
