domestic violence is domestic violence whether it comes from the man or woman and any woman who beats there partner up should be tret in the same manner as if it was a bloke doing it...its not ok for a bloke to raise his hand to a woman...why should it be ok the other way round, blokes will never admit to being the recipient of abeating from a woman as it is seen as embarressing

Well, I don't think it should be acceptable at all. The reason most people aren't shocked or seem to accept it is because if a "average" woman was to punch an "average" man anywhere most likely, it wouldn't even hurt. Because men are "supposed" to be stronger than woman, they are "supposed" to be able to handle it. For instance, if a man hit a woman in the face once, odds are she is going to hit the ground, but if a woman hits a man in the face once, odds are he will not hit the ground. The shock factor comes into play when a woman picks up a weapon and then hits, shoots, or stabs a man...then people start looking at it as equal. I personally believe though that it is not okay for men or women to be violent towards one another...if you want to hit someone take up boxing!

Domestic abuse is domestic abuse. If a woman hits a man or a man hits a woman, they're both going to jail here in Texas.Once the police get called for domestic abuse,it's out of your hands because the State picks up the case and they charge you with domestic abuse.

Anyone that is the aggressor in a physical confrontation should expect retaliation. If a woman is ridiculous enough to think that she has the right to hit a man and not expect to be hit back, then she deserves a rude awakening. I love it when I watch Judge Judy and she tells women that charge men for abuse that if they hit first then they got what they deserved. Not many people have the balls to speak that truth.

Good question.
Case in point: a new Sprint commercial where the husband, as a joke, hides the wife's phone. Cut to the next scene: they are sitting in a emergency room, where she looks disgusted, but he has an ice pack on his head - apparently, a victim of her abuse because of his joke.
The punchline was literally that he got clubbed on the head badly enough that he ended up in the hospital.
Had that been the reverse, the commercial would have been yanked off the air immediately.

Don't know, Marty, but that's a good question, though. I think it is because when it comes to physical strength (ladies: DON'T get offended! I'm just stating the facts!), men are superior to women. Also, I believe it is because women are the bearers of children, and we wouldn't like the fact of someone beating up our mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, female cousins, female friends, etc. If someone were to hurt them physically, then we would probably want to KILL that person (I KNOW I WOULD!!!). For ME, I wouldn't put my hands on a female UNLESS she can fight like a guy or if she's one of those REALLY crazy b1tches who get psycho and you don't know what the hell she's liable to do.

When a woman hits a man it is usually in self defense. There is no other socially "acceptable" reason for hitting anyone. Period.

Men are, physically, the stronger sex and typically the aggressor in male/female relationships so it is generally excused as a type of self-defense whether it's a physical defense or otherwise.
Nobody should be smacking anyone unless its during rough love making session. Less fightin, more f'in. That's my motto. I love it when a woman smacks me around a little when we're screwin. It's hot and it makes me want to give it to her harder. It's a win-win situation.

Because men have always claimed to be the stronger sex, so they should be able to handle a woman hitting them. However, I do not agree with anyone hitting someone else.

I do not believe that it is socially acceptable to hit anyone (man or woman) unless it is in jest.
