My husband and I are planning a cruise this summer. We'll be visiting Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Ocho Rios. Does anyone have a favorite site for maps, tourist information, and travel tips?
Thanks!

Grand Cayman: there is a great deal of information on the new website http://www.caymanislands.ky/default.aspx. Most people with only a few hours wander about George Town, the capital, visiting the shops and the museum and Elmslie Church, the Post Office and the Library. These were built by a shipbuilder who only really knew how to build ships, so the ceilings are upturned boats! The Seven Mile Beach is a must. You can walk there easily from town. Sadly, the best tourist venues are not nomally encompassed in the range of tours offered: I refer to Pedro St James and the Botanic Park.

Ocho Rios: http://www.virtourist.com/america/jamaica/ochorios/index.html
Visit the falls and go down the steps to the beach below, but unless you are masochists, don't be tempted to struggle up through the water towards the falls.

Cozumel: I love to go snorkeling. Just grab a taxi at the port and go to Chakanaab National Park. You will need to pay the daily admission fee, but its much cheaper than the excusion through the cruiseline and easy.
Grand Cayman: Use cruiseline excursion and swim with the Sting rays. They don't really sting. They just have a point on their back that can hurt if you step on them. It hurts them more than you. They are amazing creatures . They feel like wet chamois. Sooo cool. A little later walk on 7 mile beach. Take a taxi back to the ship. It looks easy to walk and it would be if not for the heat.
Ocho Rios: Everyone should climb Dunn River Falls once in their lifetime. Caution: do not get in any car. make sure it has the official Jamaican license plate for taxis. Stay with a tour group while on the island. I hope you have the time of your life. This itinerary is the same as my very first cruise. Remember happiness is not issued on board, you have to bring it in your carry-on. For more tips go to cruiseaddicts.com. You can ask veteran cruisers any questions. They love to share their experience. bon voyage! PS reserve any excursions through the cruiseline on the first day or they may get sold out.
