I read about this recently in a women's magazine and found backup information on the web. Here is one article:
http://www.webmd.com/news/20000417/calcium-low-fat-diet
So I'm wondering if anyone out there has tried it and found it successful?

There's plenty of research out there to say that it works, and calcium is so important for your bones (especially for women), but if you try it, don't overdo it.

Too much calcium can give you kidney stones. You can only absorb 500 mg or so at one time, so don't take large supplements or take supplements at the same time as other dairy products (say a calcium supplement with a glass of milk).

You'll want to let your doctor know about your high calcium intake, he can test your blood to make sure you don't have high calcium levels -- especially if you have a condition that makes calcium absorption difficult (thyroid problems and pcos for two)
