Sure, nowadays everyone just picks and chooses the parts of religion they want to believe and deny the parts they don't like...but I think it's weak to believe in heaven because of the good aspects of it, but deny God to what? Avoid hell and judgment? Doesn't make sense. Someone said it correctly, "heaven" is a religious belief beginning with God, having a differenet concept of an afterlife is what people should be going for, not twisting religious beliefs because they can't be original.

Yeah just dont call it heaven or all the believers will tell you a million reasons why its impossible to believe in heaven if you dont believe in "their" god.. Believe in what you want to believe and dont let anyone tell you otherwise.. if you believe there is a place like heaven but you dont believe there is a god, go right ahead.

you can believe in some form of afterlife without the belief in God though

what is heaven to you ?you can do anything you want .there are many forms of heaven in a mans mind and parts of heaven can be enjoyed on this world today
