Ive not heard any comparisons. Im interested...

I suppose both are unproven as deities. And, Jesus was never said to have walked out of the ocean - he walked ON water, not under water! Another interesting correlation might be the fact that Quetzacoatl was expected to return on a certain date, so the Incans were waiting on the beaches for him...when Cortez arrived. He looked so much like the legends (white man, flowing beard, dressed in fish scales[which were actually chain mail armor]) they thought he was Quetzacoatl returning to earth! Instead, he destroyed their culture.... Shall the Second coming of jesus prove the same folly?

Personally, one of my favorite quotes comes from Cortez. Montezuma asked him why he was so interested in Gold, and his response was "We Spaniards have a disease that only Gold can cure." GREED was that disease!

Quetzalcoatl has a much cooler name.

I am aware of the similarities though and I know mormons frequently use those as evidence that Jesus Christ did visit the Americas.

hmm....

well, I love the fact that an imposter was assumed to be Quetzalcoatl and it brought war

and Jesus was an imposter assumed to be the messiah/god and the worship of him has brought countless wars too

so I can see the connections between the the legends of the two...

but as to the REAL Quetzalcoatl?
still waiting for him too....

Quetzalcoatl is a feathered serpent. Jesus, to the best of my knowledge, isn't.

Both are unproven deities, if that's what you mean.
