Sure you can travel there - I'm told that Hell, Michigan is a nice place in the summer.

As for the rest of it, remember that the language you are ripping to shreads was used by a culture that had not embrassed philosophy the way that 21st century westerners have. Also, the Hebrew mindset of that time did not recognize a "soul" seperate from the body. To them, you WERE your body, which is why there are so many dietary rules and specifications about how to handle a body after death.

Hell is not a physical place. Before the creation nothing physical existed, and at the end of time, all physical creation will cease to exist. Yet heaven and hell will still exist, for they are eternal. Therefore they are not physical places. They exist outside of time and space. We speak of them as "places" because we don't have any human words to describe what they are really like, nor do we have any direct knowledge of what they are really like. But they are not "places" in any sense that anyone on earth has ever experienced.

If we could dig deep enough, we could reach Hades, for it lies in the center of the earth, bible tells us this. But most get confused.....they mix a few things to create "hell".

Hades is a place you go when you die if you do not believe in Jesus once you have heard his word. Meaning, only those that have heard his word then denounce him, are cast to Hades. Along with any that have not heard his word but lead a evil life. They remain in hades being tortured by what they did evil on the earth. Say you lied all the time....then you will be told lies over and over again in Hades. But you can be saved from Hades by asking for Jesus to forgive you, if you can think of that past all the pain.

Now when judgment day comes.....then all those on earth, in the earth and in Hades will be called up for judgment. Those that are evil or are in Hades are given the chance to repent and to follow Jesus, this is your very last chance. If you say no, then you burn in a fire of sulfur and then are cast into a lake of fire to stop existing. To not be a spirit, energy, nothing ever again.

Man many yrs ago created "hell" as a mix as a scare tactic to make people go to church and it has been around since. If you read the book, its clear to what all happens.

Hell is a mythological place that does not exist. It was thought up, along with Satan, to scare little children and uneducated peasents into obeying the Church and the King.

And, so, just how do you know how burning spiritually feels? Maybe worse then physically.

hell is an illusion of thinking precipitated by the lower nature of man in an attempt to keep himself seperate from a God he thinks exists, but that pales in comparison to the one TRUE God
