If your deiting, and cut out the regular soda, and do like a low carb or low cal diet,..

However.. Is deit soda worse?or better for you to drink considering the aspertame?

Cutting out regular soft drinks will help, but you'd be better off if you could cut out soft drinks altogether. The jury is still out as to which one is worse, but the bottom line is soft drinks (diet or regular) are full of chemicals your body doesn't need. Drinking water flavored with Crystal Light is better than drinking diet soda. Ditto that for skim milk, unsweetened tea, and plain old water.

Either way, sodas aren't good for you, but artificial sweeteners can do a lot of damage to your organs over time. For details read "Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills" by Russell Blaylock, MD.

No one knows what kind of long term health effects the fake sugars used in diet soda can cause. I would stay away from it.

I think the key to anything is moderation.

If all you drink is diet soda, I don't think it can be good for you. Also, some soda's are abandoning aspartame and using splenda instead.

its worse cut it out i stopped drinking diet drinks and only drink water and green tea... it really helps too...
