Ok, I'm not being a contradictory, but I need to know what’s right.......First of all, I try my best to believe completely in God and what the Bible says, but with that said I am so unsure about prophecies. It happened in Bible times, and it happens today. Some people speak about "God speaking to them" and some claim to have visions, given to them BY God. But I've also read in the Bible that prophecies are of saten...and that they're wrong, sinful and if u have them, u could be possessed by a demonic spirit.
I am just confused and need some guidance. Please don't respond if you're going to be sarcastic, nasty or try to talk me out of believing. It won't work. Thanks in advance! :)

John must prophesy AGAIN before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings (Re.10:9-11 below).
The prophecy that John is to prophesy again will be understood in the end days.
I believe that it is John's prophecy, that he must prophesy again, that the two witnesses will prophesy during the three and a half years (Re.11:3 below) prior to the tribulation under the beasts/kings of Revelation 13:1 and 13:11.
Then it can be said that the gospel of the kingdom will have been preached in all the world, and then shall the end come (Matt.24:14 below).
Matt.24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Re.10:9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take [it], and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
Re.10:10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
Re.10:11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
Re.11:3And I will give [power] unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. (1260 days/three and a half years)

Some prophecies like of Jesus have already come true. Some I assume youre talking about the ones in Revelation, have yet to come true in the sense that the world hasnt ended yet but I think you are making the mistake about obsessing about them. It is true we are living in the days of the Holy Spirit and those visions are possible however they are rare. I tend to be skeptical of those things however and I have heard of some churches misusing it so I guess youre goiong to have the put anybody who makes those claims up to the test of the Holy Spirit and against Gods truth to see if they carry any meaning. But all too often these false prophets try to being a different message other than what God has told us and we are warned several times in Scripture not to listen to them.
In short, see if any such message stands in light of the truth of the Gospel which you know and if it doesnt stand up to the test then it is not of God.

Not all prophecy is satanic. Daniel was a prophet of God. So was Amos, Ezekiel, Moses,Elijah, Elisha, Hosea, Malicah and others in the Old Testament plus John and Paul and Peter from the New Testament. The satanic prophets are the ones which are not always right. Father God's rules say that a true prophet is 100% correct all the time.

There are false prophets out here and back then that were not of God. There are many Spirits out here and those of us who have the prophetic gift must first have the Spirit of God on the inside and the Word of God as well. God speaks through us by His Holy Spirit and uses the Word of God. We are able to see and hear in the spirit realm where there is also demonic forces also known as familiar spirits. Familiar spirits know things that can be personal about someone like how much money someone has, but they do not know what spiritual things God has in store for them. And at all times prophets must discern the spirits and know the difference between God and Satan. If someone comes up to you and tells you things that are not from God then reject the words.
Now, there are people that satan himself has, doing evil works and leading people astray. So, please study to show thyself approved rightly dividing the Word yourself to know the difference. satan is getting worst and worst and we must get filled with more with the Power of God.

There's an old saying, How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Understanding bible prophecy is not critical to your salvation. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ is however. Concentrate on that relationship and let Jesus through the help of the Holy Spirit guide you as you learn.

God can speak to us today in many different ways and a voice or a vision is possible - the way to be sure if it is from God or not is to test it against what the Bible says - God cannot contradict Himself or change His mind so if He said it once in the Bible then that is the way it is and if a persons vision is opposite from what the Bible says then it is not from God and should be ignored

ROMANS 12:4-13
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, 1 Cor. 12.12 and every one members one of another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 or ministry, let us wait on our ministering; or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness. 1 Cor. 12.4-11
9 ¶ Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;
11 not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

If the prophecies were done in God's name if they came true they were of God, If they did not they were declared of satan.
