That ban was lifted several weeks ago. It was only on bagged spinach, anyway.

I have the same question, because last night I ate a whole lot of spinach and was wondering "why haven't I eaten spinach in a long time. I mean I just love the stuff." Its all good.

I hope so, I've eaten it quite a few times over the past month. Just make sure you wash it good. If it was making lots of people sick, they wouldn't be allowed to sell it and lawsuits would be filed. My newest creation is fried spinach. It only takes a few minutes to cook, yum!! I cook some sesame seeds first and after the spinach is cooked I add some soya sauce to it... delish!!

It was ALWAYS safe to eat spinach, Hon. The only reason people got sick from it is because they didn't realize that washed and packaged veggies should still be washed before they are eaten. Could a person still get sick even if they did wash their prewashed veggies? Yes, they could, however, good preparation habits are the key to healthful healthy eating!

Honestly.... will it be safe to really eat anything. Peanut Butter, Spinach, what's next? E-Coli at Burger King? Bird Flu at McDonads. (Which sucks cause I'm a McChicken fan) Theres always something we can't eat in America because of some other country's poop.

Spinach, no matter how it is served, has never been a safe food. For one thing, look at how slippery it is! Just think of what a bad fall you could have if you accidentally slipped on a bit of it that has slithered off your fork and onto the floor!

I don't know, but I have been eating it every day for about 2 weeks. It's my favorite veg, besides tomatoes. It hasn't made me sick so far.
