I've seen commercials for this new listerine mouthwash that stains the plaque on your teeth blue, so that you can see where the plaque is. The commercial seems to be aimed at kids' dental health. Has anyone tried it yet?

my daughter has issues with brushing thoroughly, since buying this stuff she chooses to brush about 3 times day and has better teeth than I have ever seen her have since taking over brushing on her own. She loves it and it works for her.

My son that 3 1/2 LOVES it. He thinks it cool to have mouthwash like mom and dad, the only difference is he uses his before brushing, and it does stain the plaque and help him brush better.

Not yet, but I remember a dental asst coming to my elementary school with red tablets we would chew and they would show the plaque, seems like the same concept.

I buy it for my 7 year old. It does NOT stain nearly as blue as on TV. But it helps her, and her dentist was glad to hear we were using it, he said she's doing a really good job brushing now.

Bottom line, it's not very expensive, and it encourages them. If for that reason only, it's worth it.

P.S. IT DOES NOT STAIN YOUR WHOLE MOUTH. That's a crock.

I was suckered into buying that stuff. It leaves your whole mouth blue for hours. You can get it off your teeth fine enough, but your gums, lips and tongue stay blue no matter how much you brush.

i use it
it does not work as well as it is advertised

the dentist has little pills that are a dye you can chew up and brush off and it is the equivalent of actually going to the dentist for a cleaning with one use
