My dad served 20 years in the Air Force Reserves, then retired. Is he considered a Veteran? Does he get any Veteran benefits. When he applies for State or Federal jobs, is he a veteran?

Yes he is considered a veteran, but as a reservist you are entitled to all the same benefits as an active duty member. Just tell him to check out the V.A. as far as what benefits he can receive.

the only way you will get housing is that in case you're on energetic accountability for 31 days or extra. different than that, you're able to have yet another interest, get some delivers, etc. Going to drill 2-thrice a month and a pair of weeks of annual preparation isn't adequate. the only tutorial advice you will qualify for is the chosen Reserves GI bill as quickly as you end preliminary energetic accountability preparation and you're a 6 3 hundred and sixty 5 days obligated reservist and in good status. Edit: A %interior the USMC isn't the comparable as interior the army. A %interior the USMC is an E2 not E3.

I would think so----YES! A veteran is someone who has served in the military and has an honorable discharge.

He'll probably get accepted. Mainly just for the long service, but since he didn't actually serve anywhere...... just look into it. Good luck.
