OK...this is very bizarre. About a week ago, my g/f came home with this tattoo on her right butt cheek...A picture of Edgar Allan Poe...with the word "Nevermore" written under it- in some kind of weird Gothic font. It has really freaked me out when it comes to our "love life". I just can't seem to perform because I keep seeing it, and thinking about it. She just laughs and says "doth quote the raven". Any advice?

I would advice you to listen to the album of Alan Parson's Project "Tales Of Mystery And Imagination", perhaps this awesome music will let you change your mind about her tatoo.
Give it a shot, you'll be amazed.....quoth the Raven! Maybe you can prevent the Fall Of The House Of Usher.....

Edgar Allan Poe was a really weird guy to begin with but at the same time awesome and unique lol I wouldn't worry about it too much, if you really love her than that should be all that matters. If you can love someone without being bothered by certain things then your a good partner. but if u cant handle it then you should do something about it. do whats in your best interest for you and your partner. just dont take it too seriously or let it get to you. Things will be alright

Unfortunately tattoos are not reversible without costly laser treatment and as your gf seems to have little regret anyway, you need to accept this as part of who she is. I doubt talking to her about it or trying to hide it is going to go any good. Even trying not to glance at it is not going to change anything. Acceptance is the way forward. If you love your girlfriend you will find her attractive despite her strange choices because you will see her inner beauty. If not, perhaps you need to reconsider the depth of your relationship. If you can't "perform" because of the tattoo it would indicate deeper fundamental problems with your relationship. If you know you love your girlfriend and that the mere oddity of the tattoo is causing you to lose concentration perhaps try sexual acts where you cannot see the tattoo for a while, but then continue to look at it at other times until you can finally accept it and it no longer inhibits your performance.

As a huge Edgar Allen Poe fan, I love it, so its hard to sympathize with you (granted the fact you are even the least bit serious about this)

Heres some ideas: cover it up, always preform in the dark, under sheets, whatever...get a new gf?

not weird. honestly, i think there needs to be more guys like you. so many girls end up having their hearts broken or pressured into something they don't want to do because they're so crazy about a boy, but the only thing he's crazy about is sex. whatever girl you end up with should be relieved that you don't want to get in their pants. it's a lot of pressure on a girl and can do some serious damage. you shouldn't have much trouble finding a girl who loves you:)

LOL Thats pretty messed up dude. I would have issues with that as well so your not alone. The only advice I can give you is to stick to positions in which you don't have to make love to a dead poet's face, or keep the lights off.
Good luck.

Well I can see how a picture of a man on your girls butt would be weird. So I don't blame you for how you feel. Just put you hand over it (give her a nice slap (if she likes it) and stop thinking about it eventually you will get over it. Good luck!

Instead of Poe, I'll quote Shakespeare: This is "much ado about nothing." My advice? Get over it or get a new girlfriend. If you can't get it up because of a tattoo, you indeed have problems!!

Try different positions where it's not as visible. If it really bothers you, then you need to move on, because the tattoo is not going to go away. You should really examine why this tattoo bothers you so much though.

Well hopefully if you are sleeping with this woman you love her, and if you love her you should not let a tattoo affect your love life. If you don't love her you shouldn't be sleeping with her and you have no right to judge her tattoo.
