I have hunted with and without dogs for 34years I enjoy both types of hunting ,but I love to hear and see a pack of hounds hot on the trail of a good buck.I know a lot of people are against this type of hunting, and I also know most of those people have never tried it.I think this is not for everyone as bowhunting is not for me,but I have great respect for all types of hunters because they are having a great time doing what they love.My question is why can't hunters respect other types of hunting besides the one they are involved in .And If you want to have the time of your life go deer hunting with a good pack of hounds and a bunch of good friends.

I haven't had the opportunity in ages, but in my youth I thought hunting with Walker hounds and hunting with beagles (a very different proposition) were both great. My system of late has tended to be to take a nap at the base of a tree and wait for a buck to wake me up, but the tradition is strong in the south, and it does have to be experienced to be appreciated.

It's not legal in some areas, so some people aren't familiar with it and haven't tried it.

To some, it also seems a bit unfair to use dogs.

I respect it. We can't do that up here in Minnesota but I think it would be pretty fun. It's just all of those democrat hippies that are against it.
