You really should take this up with you're local Congressman. Maybe they could enact some sort of legislation?

I've noticed this an awful lot--especially lately. I don't mind if it's someone on the street, but when I'm staning in a packed train, feeling like a sardine, and the man next to me yawns without covering his mouth, he's just smoked a cigarette and had a cup of coffee, not to mention he hasn't brushed his teeth since 7 a.m. that morning, it makes me want to gag!!!

Everyone (or mostly everyone, I would imagine) knows you're supposed to chew with your mouth shut, cover your face when you sneeze or cough, etc., but maybe not many people were taught the importance of yawning with your hand over your mouth

Some people think that the only time you need to cover your mouth is when you sneeze or cough. They don't think that they can spread germs when they yawn, and they don't know what they look like. I am always reminding my husband to cover his mouth when he yawns.

It's a reflection of poor home training. As a child most children learn that at home and it just becomes automatic behavior. That's how I learned and I'm sure it was the same with you. So when they demonstrate this annoying and obviously ill mannered behavior, just remind yourself that it's a reflection of their parents lack of training.

well, if this is done, it is a blatant lack of manners.
Maybe this person was never taught the rules while growing up, or maybe this person knows the rules, but decides that it is too much effort to show any dignity.
Either way, when I see it, I always feel better about myself and the manners I have learned and taught to my own kids.

Because they're rude and have no manners so they don't care about spreading their germs on to others.
