Ok people, I heard this comment made on "Relevant Radio". So, the priest, whoever he was said it, not I. Thanks for the rude insult, Virgo.

Baptism is not a requirement for salvation....it is simply an outward sign of repentance.

In the Jewish faith, circumcision was the event through which a newborn child was dedicated to God and entered into the spiritual life of the faith community. This was the sense in which Paul said that baptism under the New Covenant replaces circumcision under the Old Covenant. It is true that circumcision was given only to male babies. But Christ said that under the New Covenant, such distinctions do not exist ("there is neither male nor female"). Therefore in Christianity babies of both sexes have been baptized from the earliest days.

Baptism did not "replace" circumcision. The Sacrament of the New Birth (Holy Baptism) is necessary for all persons, male and female.

Baptism is a necessity to attain salvation. Whether a man or a woman.uncircumcised or circumcised.

Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ.

Galatians 3:28 There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female; for ye all are one man in Christ Jesus.

Of course it's necessary, circumcision, is for the cleanliness of the penis, baptism is to wash away the "original sin".

So yeah, it is.

I was raised a Catholic, but I never heard of that choice being either /or. According to Christian belief everyone must be baptized. According to Jewish law, all men must be circumcised.
What's the problem???
