Interesting question and I'd be more interested to know why you've asked it. But, as a girl, and raising a daughter at this time, I can say that our world is telling girls, "If it feels good do it. Here's a condom. If you get pregnant, someone other than a parent can take you in for an abortion and mom & dad never have to know, but don't ask for an asprin becasue your doctor has to prescribe it."
Very few girls (or guys for that matter) have anyone building into their lives that teach them that their body is the most precious gift that they have to offer their spouse. Giving it away before they get married is like robbing their spouse of the honor and joy of knowing that they were waiting just for them.
The other factor is the amount of pressure put on girls by guys to show them that they love them. Girls so desperately want closeness and affection that they often find themselves in the wrong places at the wrong times, setting themselves up for no turning back.
This is a topic that makes me so sad. The good news is that girls who've given it up can chose to have a second chance and stay pure from a new commitment point. I think that is equally honorable after making a mistake.

They have low self esteem, and the misconception that it makes them popular with the guys, and the guys will want to date them. They do not stop to think that the opposite happens, and the guys only want what they are giving out for free. No guy stays in a relationship with a girl who has been passed around from one guy to another.
In a report that was released yesterday, 1 in 4 females now have HPV, and guys also are carriers of the virus.

1) In an "attempt" at becoming an Adult
2) In an effort, to lure a Popular "BF".
3) To cause pain and anguish to her Parents.
4) To become Pregnant, in order to marry someone.
Non of these are justifiable. I hope you see that! Good Luck. Being a Gentlemen, does have it's perks!

Some girls haven't been taught to respect themselves, or that they're loved and are valuable people. I was taught- in my abusive, violent family- that I was dirty, I should be ashamed of myself, I'm stupid, and on...and on...and on...So I had absolutely no idea that I should respect myself. Fifteen years old, boy comes along, says he loves me, well, there was the "love" that I needed. =-(

Well its usually because they are ready and they have found aomeone they are comfortable with and they want to share more with that person...be on a dif level. Its better to give it up to someone you care abou than to wait and end up some jerks one night stand!!

They give up their viginity doing just what nature expected them to do. An all consuming desire to find out for themselves just what makes life itself tick.
