My husband & I got married on 5-1-06 and we just heard from a girl he aes dating just before me who got pregnant but said it was someone else's who she married back then. But now they are divorced and they had a DNA test that stated her husband was not the father. She then came to my husband telling him he is the father. But since he told her he was not leaving our family for her we have heard nothing else of the so called DNA test she claimed to have set up for him to have. We want to know if this is his son or not. How do we get a DNA test done on the child? We live in Georgia.

Usually you can go to your local child support team and request one. Usually they will do it for free as long as child support is resolved. When you go there, you should explain your situation and see if you can get a court order. Does the child live in a different state? If so, just get the genetic test in the court order and have them refer it to the state the child resides in. That state will them enforce the order and the mother and the child will have to submit a genetic test. Once the test results come back, child support then will get resolved.

Good Luck and best wishes!

2 ways, You can go to the courthouse and file paperwork, they will set a hearing and she will have to be served and the judge will tell her she has to submit to the test. He might make you come back for the results of the test or they might just be mailed to you, afterwards you will have to have a heairng set up for child support and visitation if the child is yours(i would have a lawyer do the paperwork for you) or if she is willing you can contact an independent firm that does testing and they can do it, it's usually cheaper if the results come back then get a lawyer to get you visitation and have the child support taken care of because that stuff adds up quick.

Call any drug lab, you can look it up in the phone book, or ask your doctor for a reference. They will usually to saliva, but you can do blood if you prefer. It won't be cheap though.

They will just take a sample, either swab the insides of the mouth or draw blood and compare it. It's simple.
