Why they decided on their own brand instead of just becoming Jewish. I mean it is the same God with the same basic rules so why write a new operating manual. Same thing for the Christians. (except for the point that Christians will eat anything.)

Why there is no centralization of the doctrines of Islam. Believers have no place to turn to find one centralized voice (persons, organizations) that speaks for what they believe.

To me the most vital thing Islam needs is some centralized authority speaking out against the acts of the radicals. Unfortunately, Islam is very non-hierarchical, so there is no central group of perceived leaders of the islamic faith that speak with one voice and condemn the actions of the heretical.

Where is the public outcry from Islam's theologians over the acts of these radicals? It is missing in the media and the silence among the leadership is deafening to the observers on the sidelines.

If Christian radicals were performing the acts that we see Islamic fundamentalists doing, there would be a world outcry among the leaders of Christian organizations condemning these persons as heretics. It would be in all the newspapers, television, etc.

I believe Islam is going through what the Christian faith went through during the Reformation. During the Reformation religious leaders were forced to carefully define their doctrines, that is, what do Christians really believe? This established a baseline of orthodoxy that then could be used as a litmus test for the practices of self-professed Christians. Islamic leaders must do the same thing. Codify their acceptable beliefs and then defend them against heretics loudly and publicly.

The most difficult thing to understand about Islam is the same as claimed by all major world religions. Their God is the one true God, and those worshipping others are condemned.

For Father K :Open your eyes of wisdom , nothing will be difficult, even Jihad. Jihad is very wide Subject for Muslims and Muslims understand it very clearly.
You might call it Fight against terrorism, very narrow meanings, for Jihad.
I can explain a lot but need open mind, and wide open eyes are pre requisite to understand. Narrow and blindfolded can understand, sorry.

For Kenny K:
Muslims give respect to woman, Muslims does not use Woman and do not consider woman as commodity.Muslim man feel responsibility for woman, not consider them as piece of decoration. Learn Islam you will be amazed by knowing place of woman in Islam.
You have all the right to know truth, don't be afraid of your so called liberal society, come forward and learn Islam find yourself truth.

How it can say its a religion of peace when it separates humanity into Muslims and non-muslims and then proceeds to dehumanize non-muslims.

How it can say there is not compulsion in Islam when there is a punishment for converting to another religion and the punishment is death?

How can it be considered a religion of peace when the Koran is a war manual?

Ohhh so many questions a muslim will NEVER ever answer.

The fervor. But I don't understand any religious fervor.

Also, how did a religion that doesn't see Jesus as a messiah become so popular in the birthplace of Christianity?

The contradictions in it are remarkable, and often take away from the message of the theology.
For example, one part of the Quran says that a Muslim should treat a person who is Jewish/Christian with respect, but then it goes on to say not to make friends with them, etc.

How people blindly follow Islam. Someone actually told me the Quran tells them how to dress, how to eat, and how to worship. That scares me.

How a person who is no moral example can write a book telling everyone how he is! All the while making rules for them, that even HE didn't follow.
