Why does Israel is so arrogant?

Come to think about it, Israel has ignored dozen of UN resolution condemning its action against Palestinian people. Why does this happen?

You have it backwards about the UN resolutions. Israel abides by all of them, and the Arabs, including Hisb'Allah, formally agree to them and then violate them all.

Israel foolishly pulled out of Lebanon on the assumption that the Hisb'Allah terrorists would not be permitted to re-arm and to return to their positions in southern Lebanon. Unfortunately, the United Nations once again double-crossed Israel and did not enforce UN Resolution 1701, which would have kept the terrorists where they were at the time of the cease fire. Meanwhile, arms continue to flow from Iran via Syria to the Hisb'Allah, unchecked by the Lebanese army and by UNIFIL, in violation of the UN resolution.

Syrian President Hafez Assad once told the late PLO terrorist leader Yassir Arafat:

"You do not represent Palestine as much as we do. Never forget this one point: There is no such thing as a Palestinian People, there is no Palestinian entity, there is only Syria. You are an integral part of the Syrian people, Palestine is an integral part of Syria. Therefore it is we, the Syrian authorities, who are the true representatives of the Palestinian people."

Only a clear and decisive victory by Israel over the Palestinians and their backers can bring peace to the Middle East.

Israel is arrogant because they know that the U.S would support them with everything they will do. Some friends say the UN is anti-Semitic. Why does this phrase even exist? Have they ever asked themselves? They accuse the Palestinians for terrorism and they are saying the truth but why have the Palestinians become terrorists? All Israels are fighters and for that i respect them but there is a large part of them who do not recognise the mistakes they have done through history. They have a strong belief that for some reason they are the chosen ones. They have great economic power and through this power they control the US and other powerful countries. This power has made them arrogant. They torture other nations but they also make their own people to suffer. They are mercy less. If Israels want to find peace they should try to find the reasons for not having peace among their nation if they won't do that this situation will keep on forever.

Because it is a very small country surrounded by a large number of people who would wipe them off the face of the earth. It is not arrogance, it is survival instinct. I'm neither pro nor anti israel, but only really began to understand the problem when I spent time there.

How is Israel arrogant? If people were killing your friends and neighbors just because of their religion, would you not make an effort to protect them? All the Palestinians need to do is stop the violence. They were given what they asked for for years (autonomy), and they elected the terrorists into running the government. The Palestinians need to get control of their society, and prosecute the terrorists, and also start ACTING like they want to be part of the CIVILIZED world...

regarding the comment by merlins_new_apprentice, the term Palestinian had been around for a long time before 1948. My grandfather was stationed in PALESTINE from 1946 - 1947 and I have his medal to prove it, complete with a bar that reads 'PALESTINE'. The British government sold the PALESTINIANS down the river by agreeing to end British mandate in PALESTINE in return for the PALESTINIANS and the Arabs helping us out in WWII against the axis powers. Then the Jews flooded into PALESTINE and began shooting and bombing our soldiers, including a massive terrorist bomb attack on the King David hotel killing lots of soldiers. The British government then pulled out of PALESTINE and David-Ben-Gurion went on the air to announce the formation of the state of Israel. So the country called Israel was founded on the very tactics the Israeli government now calls terrorism. The phrase 'PALESTINIAN' derives from the ancient biblical phrase 'Philistine' which was the name of the people who inhabited the holy land. The Jews were descended from the Caananites.
I dont know the reason Israel and the Jews are so arrogant but its not only in Israel that they are like this. There is a large Jewish community in my home city of Manchester and the Jews walk round as if there faeces dont smell bad like everybody elses and look down their noses at you, and also act as if the law doesnt apply to them

First of all, there is no "Palestinian people" and the term "Palestinian" did not exist prior to 1948.

Arrogant? In the middle east, Arabs control 99.9% of all territory; Isreal has 0.1%. Despite this inequity, the Arabs still attack Isreal, speak openly about 'wiping Isreal from the face of the earth' and continually bombard it with missles and suicide bombers. Is it "arrogant" to defend your life, your family and your homeland?

Ignore UN resolutions? If it was up to the corrupt UN, they would give Isreal's head to the Arabs on a silver plate. Personally, if I ran Isreal, I would irradiate that whole bunch of camel jockies that call themselves "the Arab world" and be rid of the problem once and for all.

People who feels they are nothing they always try to cover themselves with arrogance. They always make problems wherever they are, it's their nature. They use to lie and believe their lies. Few of them who lived in other countries may think about peaceful life. Actually people who are living there are living in their own dreams. They always mix between religion and Zionism.

Yuor forgetting something...it's not Israel it's actually USA. They are part of one and the same entity. The US need Israel to serve their interests in the Middle East which is so full with what they need: OIL!

Because the UN is antisemetic and it obvious. Would you obey any kind of resoultion against you if you knew the people hated you? And where did you learn to write a question? "Why DOES Israel is so arrogrant?"
