If you can't remember what you are fighting for....why are you fighting??? First, know that it is healthy to argue sometimes. And then pick your battles carefully. Don't waste time arguing on a lost cause (i.e. you know there is no way in hell he will ever clean a toilet to suit you). But if it is something that could damage your relationship, it is necessary to get your point across (this is sometimes referred to as arguing, communicating, bitchin'...it depends on your point of view).
Now....there are two ways to attempt this:
#1: finger pointing, name calling, belittling, dismissing the other persons opinion. This rarely settles anything and is destructive to the relationship.
#2: Presenting solid facts to back up your argument, listening to their response, be convincing, listen some more, tell them why it matters to you so much, listen some more....you get the idea.
Do this: Next time you are trying to discuss something with him and it starts to get heated, pay attention to the words and the way way they are said that turns it into a serious fight. You will start to see a pattern and then you can work on a more effective way to argue without it getting crazy.
P.S. I think you are very smart girl for paying attention to this BEFORE you get married. Alot of couples don't get to this stage and after they get married, the first time they have an argument they are out the door wanting a divorce. Best of luck to you, dear.

Maybe you fight for the sake of fighting. You should not sweat the small things. Really, why make your selves into screaming maniacs for WHAT. Even you don't no. The sex must be good. Sometimes we fight, so we can make up. What ever your reason, try to pick the fights that are worth fighting about, That way it is impossible to forget.

It happens. It's like arguments between family members. It was probably over something silly if you guys don't remember what it was about the following day.... hopefully your fights don't end up splitting you up...

In my experience it is because we use anything else we can get our hards on to argue about except the actual issue that is bothering us, so, the next day, the stupid thing you were arguing about is forgoten b/c it really wasn't the reason why you were mad in the first place.

you two are not compatible. if you were you wouldn't ever feel like choking him. you'd also remember what you fought about. Break it off and find someone you truly love and quit wasting your time before someone gets hurt physically.

people always break up their relationship's for one reason! that is that for whatever reason they do not communicate with each other. Learn how to communicate with each other and you will be happy ever after.

I think you both came to the realization that the fight was over something stupid and petty.
