I understand that conventional Christian dogma is that humans are born in Sin (I belive this is true of most prodestant, and catholic churches, please correct me where I am mistaken).

This Sin is from Eve, and Adam choosing to eat of the tree of Knowlage of Good and Evil which God had instructed them not to eat.
All humanity now bears that sin from birth? This is one of the underlying reason many Christians are against abortion? because the unbabtised fetus would be doomed to Hell?

How can the belifef system incorporate "Free Will" for individuals, a God of Mercy and Justice, and Original Sin?

I cannot justify GOD--he is HOLY--HE developed a plan where man would choose to worship him. If you can accept death as a punishment--for we all die--a fetus is not unbaptized by abortion--it is killed--I am against killing a fetus. If God had left us in a state of unforgiven I would agree with you. But he didn't In most Religions you will find a redemption for that sin i.e. (christian faith-Jesus died for the unjust)--nothing on earth was sinless--Jesus being perfect could. If we(humans) accept that sacrifice of Jesus then we are adopted into God's family. This is done by FAITH. So, there is a cure for that sin nature. The question is: do you believe it?

I've wrestled with this question for a long time. It seems unfair. So I would maintain that God's justice comes in at the point of providing a way out of the "curse".

Everyone has been infected with the virus, but it's fair that when presented with the cure, if one chooses not to accept it, they can suffer the consequences of it.

Regarding abortion, I have no idea whether any particular fetus is going to heaven or hell. I don't know that you can make an iron-clad case either way on the basis of scripture. I'm against abortion the same way I'm against slavery, or murder, or any other crime against humanity. It's a violation of human rights to kill, no matter how small or dependent, on the basis of choice. Choice is the least noble reason I've ever heard for killing. I can't fathom why intelligent, enlightened 21st century Western civilization can be so backwards in this area.

It is true that we are born sinners because of Adam's fall.

It is not true that most Christians are against abortion because unborn unbaptized babies go to Hell. God can and I believe does save the unborn. We are against abortion because it is murder.

God is a just God so He must punish sin, He showed mercy by becoming a man in Christ Jesus to pay the price for us.

Free will, as taught in most churches today is a myth.We are free to do as we want but not free to do what we should unless the Holy Spirit does His work in us.

Why would a kind and loving God impose a sin on the soul of an innocent baby or doom an unbaptised fetus or child to hell? What nonsense....original sin is a crock.

True Christians do not believe in original sin because sin cannot be inherited.

Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die: the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

What can you inherit from your parents is this:

Proverbs 19:14 House and riches are the inheritance of fathers; but a prudent wife is from the LORD.

Not all christains believe the fetus would go to hell. He is a just God considering how long he puts up with some of the things humans are capable of.

To get a clear picture of Gods purpose you need to first clean away some of the dirt that satan has put in the Bible.............Doomed to hell...............

What does the Bible say the penalty for sin is?

Rom. 6:23: “The wages sin pays is death.”

After one’s death, is he still subject to further punishment for his sins?

Rom. 6:7: “He who has died has been acquitted from his sin.”

Is eternal torment of the wicked compatible with God’s personality?

Jer. 7:31: “They [apostate Judeans] have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.” (If it never came into God’s heart, surely he does not have and use such a thing on a larger scale.)

Illustration: What would you think of a parent who held his child’s hand over a fire to punish the child for wrongdoing? “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) Would he do what no right-minded human parent would do? Certainly not!

Lets not mix too many issues in 1 question.

Free Will is up to us to decide where we go.
G-d has provided us all the warning and preventing us from going to hell or not. So don't blame G-d for what you do.

He has given you way out.

Abortion is another matter it isn't about a fetus going to hell or not it is about killing a human being at will which is murder and that violated the top 10 as in "Thou shall not murder"

You have asked a very interesting question. babies don't go to hell. People object to abortion because its murder.

Romans 5: 12 says that in one man all have sinned. But since that is true, in one man shall all be made alive. Its that simple. God, in his mercy , will not judge anyone that accepts His Son.
