Right now my home phone is through Verizon. I do not get free long distance and have to pay quite a bit to call my mom is only 30 minutes from my house - called a toll call. Without any long distance calls and only a bare minimum of toll calls, my phone bill is $29/month. I saw an advertisement for Vonage which gives you free long distance anywhere and unlimited calling for $24.99. Are there any pros/cons you are aware of. What about extra taxes, etc.

I now have 4 phones - two cordless and two non-cordless. Will I have to have special wiring, etc so that all the phones will work. I don't want extra expense. Also, how is their customer service.

I have the $24.99 vonage plan and it comes out to $32.51 a month, the first bill is about $44.50.

Cons are that if your Internet is not really what they say it is then the quality will be bad.

It will only work on the phone that is connected to the router so if your cordless are connected to each other (base and a additional handset) then they will work if not only one will work.

Over all I think it's really good!

before you do anything.....go to www.dslreports.com and do some research!!

with VoIP you also need high-speed Internet.. then just look for a good provider....you will get free LD and lots of cool features with broadband!

go to this website, and read the ratings first...
