He has court appointed visitation every Tues/Weds, and every other weekend. He currently is only taking him every other weekend because he moved an hour and a half away. I want to move to a different state (which is only a 4 hour drive from where he lives) but I know he'll put up a fight. Can he legally stop me from moving?

No he cant stop you from moving anywhere. He moved without your permission. Tell him your willing to meet him halfway. Also you might wont to mention to him hes not using all his visition because of hes move and it wouldnt be in his best interest to create drama in court the judge might not hearing this. If hes having a control issue then that should slow him down. If he wants to go to court with it tell the judge he moved and doesnt see his son but every other weekend as is, and that you offered to meet him halfway. ( halfway is meeting by car halfway between where the 2 of you live)

Look over your court papers just to be sure. But I don't think there is anything that he can legally do except maybe have you meet him half way which if he only has visitation rights and not joint custody I don't even think that he can do that until the next court date which in Georgia is when one of the parents want to chage the agreement.

Tricky question he can but has to go to court and there has to be very very good reasons for stopping you. The courts see so much of this now a days that they will not stop you from moving.
