If she's attention seeking, lies, manipulates, doesn't take responsibility for her faults and wrong doings, it could be boarderline personality disorder. I'm not a doctor but I work in the mental health field. People with this disorder think differently about the world then other people do. But only a pshyciatrist can really evaluate her and make a diagnosis, it could be something else.
In response to your comment about a "break down" there is such a thing. A person may have some symptoms of a mental illness for a while, but still be able to function normally, but they can have a pshycotic break where there illness esculates, and they can't function normally. Sometimes its temporary, somtimes long term. From what I've seen and heard in this line of work. Again everything should go through a license professional.

I'm sorry that you have such a hard time dealing with this. It sounds like she has some serious mental illness, but it cannot be diagnosed over the internet. Your best bet is to love her as you know her when she is lucid. Keep in mind that she cannot help the way she is, and can possibly get better with proper treatment. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself, but show compassion towards her.

Unfortunately there could be a lot of conditions she could have from split personality to a panic disorder. Ask your Uncle what her diagnosis was. Tell him if she is going to get help you and the rest of the family need to know what she was diagnosed with to also help her at home not just in the clinic. A big part of treatments start with the family. You need and should know what she has. If at all possible go with them to her session(s) and ask questions there to help her. Most people feel embarrassed tat a loved one has something but it shouldn't be hat way. There are plenty of disorders in this world. You can't help what you get just be able to deal with it. If she is on medication ask what it is and do some research on that medicine to find out what it is used for. Good Luck.

Some people use manipulation to get what they want. It worked for them as a child and so they use it when they get older too.
They must have attention because then they are in control. They will do strange things to keep that attention, even negative things.
Just like a small child that acts out for negative attention.
If she is manipulative, stay away from her.
She can cause great damage to your self-esteem and stress you out. These people are driven by control.
Sometimes it is a learned defense and other times it is a brain malfunction like manic-depression.
She needs to be evaluated. But stay way from her.

She needs to be evaluated now! It could be any number of things causing these episodes. Contact a good psychologist, not a family doctor.
