Do I have to wear nylons/stockings with my wedding dress? Is there a specific reason to wear them? My dress has a layer of satin material under the whole thing. The wedding is in June.

You certainly don't have to wear them. However, if you're having the garter-removal ceremony, consider how your dress will be raised/arranged, and who will be seeing what. Many brides choose their undergarments around the garter ceremony.

I dont recommend nylons, but I do recommend wearing those slips that are like biker shorts. Reason being that you will really be sweating under that dress, especially in June and those shorts help you avoid chaffing between your legs. Nothing works as good as those things, I;ve tried everything, those shorts are the greatest and as a plus you can get ones that have a little tummy shaping built in to help hold everything nicely in line under your dress.

Good luck!

It's completely up to you. There are some people who are very adament that nylons are evil and should never be worn, especially with open-toed shoes. Others firmly insist that they are more comfortable in nylons, and wear them with all shoes.

I say that no one is going to know if you're wearing nylons or not under that big wedding dress (except the groom, and he doesn't care at all). So wear whatever you want with whatever shoes you want. Just be sure you're comfortable!

Holly, no you don't have to wear any type of nylons/stockings. Ugh, with the heat, no. You'll be fine going without and nobody will know. It doesn't matter. I got married last August. I would've died if I wore hose. I had an outdoor wedding. Just remember to shave your legs. :)

of course not. It's entirely up to you what you wear at your wedding. Is someone telling you you do have to? What do they think is going to happen? The priest doesn't make you lift your skirt and have an inspection!

You dont hav eot wear anythign you dont want to. Especially in June. I think some women may like them for the the "shaping" that it gives.

I did not. If you wear knee highs be aware of that if you are going to have the whole taking off the garder thing.

it's your wedding - do what YOU want to do.
If you feel more comfortable without nylons, and think your legs look nice without them, then go ahead and leave them off.
