I want to hear from born-again Christians and Mormons on this one. If God made us in His image, does that mean He has all the same bodily orifices we do?

His image in spirit not in flesh

I've always believed that God made us in his image means that we have the same ability to feel and make decisions like God gives. This is what separates us from animals, is our decision making ability and emotional range. NO we don't share the same "orifices". However, God knew his plan for redemption from the time of Adam and Eve so he knew that Jesus would need the same bodily function as all other people, so in "his" image could be the plan that he had already made for Jesus to come and redeem us and therefore we are in Jesus image. But I don't think God sits on the toilet in heaven if that's what you're asking.

Yes, when He made the spirit man recorded in the first of the two creation stories in Genesis. The second man, with all the orifices, was made to tend the garden, a Godly chore if there ever was one.

Mankind has been playing with dirt ever since. Some call it politics, some business, some science, some entertainment, some technology, others religion - but it's all dirt.

God made Adam and Eve in the image of his holiness. The bible says that God is a Spirit, not a flesh and blood human. The first couple were made immortal like God. when Satan entered the garden of Eden everything changed. The first couple lost their holiness and their immortality. Death and sin became their fate and it is death and sin that we inherit from them.

LDS, we believe that God does have a body, but not one like ours it's a glorified, perfect body that is not subject to sickness, death or even time - so in His image, we're a reflection of that, but like a mirror's reflection, we're not quite the same.

We also believe gender is eternal - I always have been a woman, I always will be a woman - Does gender in a glorified, perfected body reflect itself in the exact same organ composition or genetic makeup as our mortal bodies? I don't know - doesn't really matter to me right now.

Misconception there, We are not made in Gods image. We descend from Adam who was made very very long after God
filled the world.Read Genesis ,Adam gets made from dirt after God plants the garden.

I think so

When God was in a tent with Moses, God let him see his back but not his face. He literally walked into the room and shielded Moses eyes grom His face so he wouldn't die.

I think he will be simular to us in heaven.

Born again Christian....best decision I ever made

Sorry, I'm not a born-again or a morman, but I will answer your question..."in God's image" means perfect sinless and holy, but Adam destroyed that when he sinned, now we all have original sin...

God is circumcised.
He made a little mistake with man and left the foreskin on. That's He commanded the Jews (his chosen people) to cut the foreskin off all boys.

God is Spirit, and the Image of God is the spirit He has made to live within us.
