my soldier has been deployed again, he has been gone only a month now. but usually i hear something from him, but i havent heard anything. its literally killing me inside. my friend was telling me about a site that we can look for missing soldiers on. but i cant find the piece of paper that i wrote it on... can anyone help me?

Just be patient is what I would say. No news is good news is exactly right. When they get to Kuwait, there is not much time for commo. Not only do they not have much time, but the lines are HOURS long just for a quick phone call. Then when they get in country things are very hectic and he is probably put right to work learning the routes (depending on his MOS) or just learning the routine in general. Just be patient. He will get in touch with you. If you have an address, start writing and sending care packages. Email him too. He will get back to you as soon as he can.

Sometimes it takes awhile to get word out once you've been deployed. You have to go through processing each time, plus it can take some time to get to where your unit is supposed to be. You would have gotten official word by now if something was up. Military.com is a great site for any military information. Good Luck!

I woldn't worry to much. I know it's easier said than done, but like I always tell my wife no news is good news. There have been times when I'm deployed that I'm not always able to call. Trust me if something bad happened you would've heard something by now. He'll call when he gets the chance.

no news is good news. he may simply be in an area where he cannot communicate. In fact several locations are on blackout currently due to what happened in Afghanistan the other day when the VP was there.
the casualty list is only updated once family members have been notified and it can take several weeks before it is.

He's not MIA, he's just busy.
A lot depends on where he is too. Mail takes longer from some places (yes, more than a month) and he may have access to phones or internet.
Don't jump to catastrophic conclusions or else you're going to have one hell of a year or so.

If he's been deployed it is sometimes hard to have the time/resources/ability to contact people back home depending on what it is his MOS is I would just hang tight im sure he's fine. If he died the army or whoever he is with will contact you but I doubt thats the case, jsut hang tight.

i really cant help all u have to do is wait for the army(or watever branch he is n) to tell u. just hold on. he pro alright and just cant get to a place to cantact u.
