I am going to buy an exhaust system from Rusty's Offroad. With the system I have the option of the Flowmaster 40 or 50 series or a Cherry Bomb pro muffler. I was originally going to go with the 40 because I want something loud and really aggressive but I dont know anything about the cherry bomb pro muffler....If I want the loudest which one should I go with. Does anybody know where I can listen to a sound clip.

I have a 94 XJ same motor. I replaced my exhaust with Parts from Rusty's also. I got the 40 series, high flow cat, and Banks header. Keep in mind he does not include the cross pipe from the header to the cat. Banks says there is no benefit to replacing it. Anyway, the 40 series is nice. Deep rumble and does not make the jeep sound bad at all. Not really loud but loud enough. I think flowmasters website might have sound clips.

Cherry Bomb will be the loudest, it's not a muffler in the classic sense like a Flowmaster, It doesn't have baffles ( Little Steel walls inside the muffler ) . The cherry Bomb is Large Glass Packed Resonator. If you hold it up to the light you'll see right through it.- If your looking for added power cherry bomb is not the right choice however.

Cherry Bomb is a glass pack muffler and is the louder of the choices you have. It is not a straight through design, but has a minimum of baffles to produce a loud aggressive sound.
Sound clips are not available because there are too many variables. Not to mention hundreds of diffferent makes and models and engines.

Loud does not = fast or powerful. Making it too loud will piss off your neighbors. If you ride through private property the owner may stop your access and ruin it for everyone. Loud mufflers also can act as cop callers and you may find yourself getting pulled over more than usual. Something to consider.

I don't know but I have a 2000 cherokee too. It's the best car I've ever had. Had it for almost 5 years and still love it. Sorry I couldn't help with the question but I just wanted to add that comment.

dont know of any soundclips etc.. but i can say cherry bomb is louder, but hence they have factory exhaust for reasons. etc.. not sure on 2000 cherokee but it cam interfere with the vehicles computer system which will make it run like crap and sure u have no warranty left but it would void ur warranty. but if you dare, its your vehicle, and cherry bomb is loud..
