Tampons aren't strong or forceful enough to cause penetration, and they cannot make you 'impure'.
Intercourse is what takes your virginity away.

Technically losing you virginity is when the hymen is torn from intercourse. A tampon is- 1. not intercourse, and 2. not large enough to tear your hymen (generally speaking).
Though, some girls tear their hymen at a young age durring phyiscal activites, even just by riding a bike. You do not have to experience penetration for it to tear. Some a smaller and weaker than others. But if this has happened, it does not mean that you are no longer a virgin- because it's not sexual intercourse.
The first time you have sex, if you hymen is still intact, then it will tear durring penetration. You may not bleed at all, since every woman is not the same in size and shape of their hymen. Some are thicker, and therefore may bleed/more.
Getting your period and using a tampon does not take away your virginity.
