i'm a heavy sleeper... but THAT NOISE he could be doing in in the kitchen and i'll wake up...i hate that noise.. not only gross the after math but the noise gets me most.ewwwwwww

Hair ball usually! When my cat does it, he crawls up right next to my head! Thanks kitty! He usually doesn't throw up though. He is just clearing his throat. Try rubbing his neck a little bit to help the poor kitty. They have hairball treats too that seem to help.

My cat does the same thing, it like shocks you awake! Usually it's a hairball.

Probably getting ready to "give" up a hair ball!! It does wake you up tho, My cat does it too, I first thought she had a cold, till I realized she was coughing up a hair ball!! Yech....LOL

I don't think it's so much of the cat puking. That sound that you are probably hearing is a hairball attack.
