Well...I just did it.
I had been drinking wine - 5-6 glasses EVERY SINGLE night (at home) for the past 20+ years. I would rarely go to bed sober, and many nights I wouldn't even remember if my husband and I had made love the night before. But, I was not sloppy, or loud and people really didn't know how much I had been drinking. I finally decided that for many reasons (including my weight) I needed to just STOP. And I did.
I haven't had a single drink in 3 weeks - and I'm doing well. I just stopped on my own. It's pretty nice waking up in the morning feeling fresh and not hung over! My weight loss should be great at Weight Watchers this week too!

Celebrate Recovery is a Christian based recovery program based on the beatitudes of Jesus (that just so happen to go in the logical order of recovery...small miracle?).
I am currently enrolled for my problem with hypochondria, but there are several groups devoted to substance abuse as well. It's no replacement for psychiatry or psychology, but as far as group accountability, it's hard to beat.

What did it for me was getting rid of the ****** in my life that made me feel like I needed a 6- pack every night. I still drink a few beers a week, but not anywhere near where I used to. It's saved me a ton of money!

before everything, you're trying responsible others on your man or woman crappy marriage which has of course sucked for years!. 3 years in the past, you asked an analogous question because of fact your marriage grow to be undesirable back then. it extremely is glaring that there's no have confidence on your dating. you have a spouse who needs to checklist you yet you're off interpreting her questions and solutions that she's posting on yahoo. Do you definitely have self assurance that a team of strangers from yahoo have the potential to screw up your already psychological, loopy spouse? in case you have gained verbal abuse out of your spouse, then why did no longer you bypass away 3 years in the past? i individually does no longer submit with all that crap from absolutely everyone. i think of you may evaluate your self fortunate that your loopy spouse did bypass away you and relieve you from being subjected to extra verbal bashing. If the yahoo human beings have been instrumental in making that ensue, you would be thanking them.

Drink coffee or something with caffine in it. Then stay away from the bar and friends that drink for a while until the urge is gone. Keep you some coffee around.

Support from family, friends, and AA. It always takes a circle of people to be there when you need them the most.

It's simple, don't drink. Join a group like AA and stay away from your old drinking buddies.
