Absolutely! There is a growing org of retired police officers supporting this idea because they know the outlaw of drugs makes our nation dangerous. The tragedy is that 25% of prison inmates are there for drugs and in prison they learn to be violent criminals. Our prison are overcrowded and legalizing drugs would solve that problem and make our street safer. And our Huge govt could tax drugs to pay for its continued massive growth.

No. Not all drugs. Additional laws would have to be put into place and I believe we would have more problems on our hands than we do now. Federally regulated marijuana yes, all the other narcotics such as cocain, heroin, opium, crystal meth, xtasy and other far worse drugs NO! This crap destroys lives and families. This would not be a wise thing to do. We would not make enough money off of taxing all the drugs to make up for the rehab, criminal, and other unseen costs. And yes there would be those costs. Hardcore narcotics can't even be compared to alcohol so don't even try that analogy. It doesn't hold.

Answer is NO.

Some marijuana should be legalized, we have about half the prison population incaracted for none offensive crimes. There should be some more research done on it but yes some of them need to be legalized. Most people know that it is the government that's allowing the drugs through ne ways. They wouldn't them to be legalized to cut out their profit r u kidding that's why they will never be legal.

NO!!, but I think Mary Jane should be legal, and I don't smoke, but I have seen a lot more dangerous abuse from prescription drugs by stupid doctors. What an adult does in his own home with out harming anyone should be legal.
Also, I think crackheads, and chemical abusers should be on the three strikes and you are out deal. Law enforcement has it's hands tied by greedy lawmakers.

Absolutely. Remember the good ole days when the government explicitly said it wouldn't meddle with an individual's private business? Well that was like 200 years ago but it was once a reality. People will do drugs. No law could ever stop this. We need to focus our resources on real criminals like rapists and murderers.

SURE!!
Hey while we are at it let's lower the drinking age to 10 andt teach kids how to smoke in school.
What about all the people in prison for selling drugs? Do we let them out and get then a lisence for selling drugs or to open a hash bar, just downt the street from your house?
Drugs are illegal because it is wrong to take drugs. It is immoral to destroy your body this way. Illegal drugs are illegal for a reason! How can you in good concience legalize crack, or heroin? Just because something is legal, that does not make it good!
Here is the other side of your question...
Should we kill all drug dealers? hmmmmm?
