Find an immigration agency in your area through google or yellowpages. Call and I am sure that you'll get a free consultation. If you are documented, the process will be much easier than if you were undocumented, but it would not be impossible the second way. I know that my parents, as legal residents, had to live here for fourteen years to apply for actual citizenship. You have to take a US history exam and I am pretty sure that you will have to provide birth certificates of your wife, kids, and yourself. You might have to do FBI background check and fingerprints, I am not sure, but the first step is to contact free legal help in your area. Good luck.

Fill in all of the blanks, and answer every question in full. Send in everything that is asked for. If anything else is needed you will be contacted to give any certificates and statements needed. Always be ready to submit notarized copies, never the originals, as you will need the originals for other purposes. You can always pick up the phone and ask directly for advice.....Best wishes
