You can't stop liking him until you stop seeing him. What are the circumstances in how you met? Is seeing him unavoidable? Do you work together? If you genuinely are finding the relationship dangerous because of his age, then you need to do all you can to stop seeing him. Eventually your crush on him will go away--but you really cannot see him EVER. Seeing him will just reinforce any romantic feelings you have.
Also... You are 18 now. You need to start making your own decisions--not based on your mother's opinion. What do YOU yourself see about this guy that you like or don't like? Try and figure out the relationship from your own standpoint.

If he is faithful to you and treats you with respect and well, then who really cares how old he is. As long as you like him and find him attractive I say go for it. After all love conquers all.
Just make sure he meets all the things you want out of a guy. Don't settle because you are affraid to be single looking for a boyfriend.

well you can't force feelings. if you're over 18 your mother doesn't really have a right to tell you who you can and can't date, but remember that it's only cuz she's looking out for you, she thinks he's bad news.
anyway... there's nothing you can do but live the feelings out. DO NOT try to opress them; that will only make it worse. but just because you feel it doesn't mean you have to do anything about it.
