Wow. This is going to sound really not great, but o-man it was. This past New Years, I went over to a friends house, and we made a bonfire, ate marshmellows and cooked hot dogs. Around 10:30, we went over to another friends house where we had a couple drinks, and ended up getting stoned too. About 12:30, we left, and went back to her house where we got the fire going again, and cooked some more hot dogs. Since I had the munchies, those were the best damn hot dogs ever.

Coconut fried shrimp! Oh gawd but it was so delicious...had it at a restaurant in Daytona, Florida. Thought it was to die for. I tried to make it at home but just wasn't the same. Do I have to drive all the way back there to get it again? Can't seem to find it around here cooked as well as they did in Daytona.

Well, I am a life-long foodie and LOVE to cook. I live about 15 minutes from Center City, Philadelphia in Southern New Jersey, an area which I consider to be a foodies paradise.
It would be really hard to pick just one but I dearly love chicken francaise, thin, floured chicken breast cooked quickly in butter, finished with lemon and garlic, sprinkled with fresh parsley.
Split and grilled whole lobster, brushed with garlic butter and lemon.....

A crisp, fresh Northern Spy apple from Michigan. It's the perfect combination of sweet and tart, has the perfect texture when fresh, and is just juicy enough. They are wonderful!!
The other taste...Michigan strawberries. Oh my!!
Went back there last October, and feasted on all the local fresh produce! I think it's one of the things I miss the most!!

Raw Michigan sweet corn!
I live in west MI, our back yard used to be leased out to a farmer who would plant sweet corn every year. When my brothers and I were little we used to go "exploring" and "adventuring" in the corn field. Sometimes we would go "treasure hunting". But at the end of the journey we would always plop down between the stalks and break open an ear of sweet corn and eat it raw.
I guess its a little nostalgic, but whenever I eat raw sweet corn it reminds me of those innocent days with my brothers.
