Homies means friends.

homies, friends, buds, amigos, brothers from other mothers, etc.
It could mean girlfriend, I suppose. I haven't heard it used like that before, but the definition might have changed.

'homies' is slang but refers to those you would consider of the same ethnicity. An African American's 'homies' would be other African Americans, Hispanics w/other Hispanics etc.
