Hmm, putting some water in a pot now and a double boiler over it.....

Thinking...
finely chopped quality semi sweet chocolate
white sugar
brown sugar
vanilla
cinnamon
baileys
milk

and of course whip cream to top it off, with some cocoa shavings on top...

Can you share your measurements for each ingredient? I love hot choc from scratch. I make mine as follows:

1/2 boiling water
2.5 oz semi sweet choc baking squares

Mix them together til the chocolate is completely melted.

Key here is to start using a whisk, add a pinch of salt.

Start simmering now over low heat.

Add 1/2 cup of milk (any type will work)

and continue whisking until 180F and then remove from stove and whisk another 30 seconds.

You can then add whipped topping if you wish. I like my hot chocolate less sweet so this is perfect as is.

ENJOY!

How about, instead of water, we use some lovely fresh raw milk, straight from my cow, Abigail. Lets go heavy on the baileys! mmmmmm
