..really i mean look at some people's parents. like my parents are married and my mom is 40 and my dad is 48, eight years difference. so why do people make it such a big deal when an 18 year old may be going out with an 26 year old. as you get older, it doesnt really matter. i mean i know many people who are married and they are like 10 or 12 years apart. i dont know i just wonder about this issue. what do u think?

It doesn't when when your older but there is a big diff in life between 18 and 26. I don't feel those two circles should cross. If your interested in a younger or older person in those circumstances it shouldn't matter to wait till life subjects you to the things that grow ya up. Time doesn't necessarily change people, events do over time, that makes us who we are.

It matters when you are younger than 28. There has not been enough time for you to have any life experience under your belt! Things like, real responsibility, knowing how women work, how men work. At 18 years old, you still don't know what you would like or don't like in a relationship. There could be sexual, personality issues..etc..but you can't possibly know yet. Life is one big learning process and relationships complicate the learning. Yes, age can matter.

I totally agree with you. Age shouldn't be a big deal at all. If two people connect, and I'm not talking just sex. Why should their age be a factor? It's all in how two people are together that matters. If they love each other, that's what's important.

My husband is 11 years older than me. We are very much in love with each other. We have many things in common and want the same things out of life. If you are truly in love then age shouldn't matter at all..
