You leave them with dignity.
You tell them the truth...you don't want to be with them anymore.
Don't talk forever...don't try and make up some lame excuse.
Don't ask to be friends.
Let him move on and be mad if he wants.

You can't! You will hurt someones feelings.

That's not to say you shouldn't end a relationship b/c you are afraid of hurting someone's feelings

You have a choice you can end the relationship in a positive way with talking and understanding. Or you can be mean and just cut off all contact.

It's up to you how you wish to leave the relationship. Classy or like an a**

Sorry hun, breaking up with someone without hurting them is not possible. Everyone is sensitive in some way or another. Just sit down and talk to them. DONT TEXT! thats the worst possible thing to do. the retard that said that needs to go somewhere. DO NOT TEXT!. just talk to them, and let them know what your feeling. Its going to suck for both of you, but you will get through it.

I view it as impossible to not hurt someone when you dump them, especially if they're sensitive. You just have to let them down as easy as possible, to try and reduce the ammount of pain. If you just up and do it, then you'll destroy who they were, I know I was shot down before I even got to ask someone I really cared for out, and I haven't been the same yet. Just try this. Good Luck.

You can't avoid hurting their feelings if they still care about you. The only thing you can do is once you're sure it's over you be honest with them rather than letting it drag on. Unless it is a mutual decision to end things someone always gets hurt. Just a fact of life.

Slowly stop or stop completely going out with them and then after a couple of weeks tell them that you don't think the relationship is working for you and want to stop seeing them.
I will hurt some but if you have not gone with that person for a couple of weeks they will have some idea that it is coming to an end.

The best way to keep from hurting someone your wanting to dump is to limit the dialog when doing so. Leave it short and direct. Don't recite the person's flaws according to you and don't place blame. Leave it to "I'm no longer feeling the positive energy we once had."

The best way to do it is to be honest.See it this way,you continue the relantionship further you dont get happy and you make him or her love you even more, and when you realise that your unhapiness is getting the best of you,you dump him.And guess what? you hurt him.you do it as soon as possible,he gets hurt anyway. As a person learn to do things that makes you happy because making other people happy will leave you empty.

Someone's feelings will almost always get hurt. There is no nice way to break up. The best thing to do is just be honest and say it like it is.

To answer this question, think of how you would like to be "dumped" by someone else and do accordingly. Consider how you would feel, how you would like your "friend" to do it to you. That should guide your thinking in how it should be approached.

Above all, be sensitive and do it face-to-face.

No matter what if the person cares about you,its going to hurt their feelings. However, I think if you are upfront about it it's alot better than just ignoring them or cheating etc. Just let them know that you don't think it will work out. If there is anyone else be honest about it because they will find out and it will be worse for them.
