eventhough i tried to eat the necessary amount of protein per day as i should but i was never able to do so, as i dont like to eat meat fish or chicken
what should i do...

First of all, don't stress too much...the necessary amount of protein greatly varies depending on who you talk to. Second, make sure that you are counting protein in all of the food you eat...alot of complex carbs also have a fair bit of protein in them. Dairy, like yogurt, milk and cheese, also has some protein. Third, find ways to sneak it in. Use textured vegetable protein...you can buy it in crumbled form, and add it to sauces. Or add legumes or lentils, which are high in protein and fibre, to sauces or soups. It will add up quicker than you think.

Are you exercising along with your protein intake?? It is key! But to answer other sources of Protein.......Nuts! They are a great snack and a good source of "good fats." Also, there is protein bars, shakes, cereal, supplements, beans...etc. I like the Luna Bars (Lemon Zest Rocks!!!), I also like Advant Edge Protein Drinks...they are low in calories/carbs and high in protein! Also the new Special K High Protein/Fiber, Low Carb Cereal is really good. They also make Protein water now!!! But there are many other sources of protein besides meat!

There are plenty of other protein sources, eggs, milk, cheese, tofu, beans etc. Try a vegetarian cook book for ideas.

eat nuts or soy products for more protein. also, dairy products have protein as do eggs. whole grains do too. click the site for other sources.

Health food store will show you products...theres lot's out there, beware of the high costs though.
