I have a pit bull mix named Ola. She's a rescue dog, and her last owners didn't treat her kindly, so she's a little skittish when it comes to new people. It also takes her a while to get to like other dogs...

However, pit bulls are the most likely to be "destroyed" in the shelters. You already have a pit bull, so you must know how sweet they are.

I also have a border collie mix named Luna. Border collies are insanely intelligent, agile, and energetic. I only recommend getting a border collie if you can walk/jog him or her frequently, or if you've got a big yard.

I can't stress enough the importance of adopting a shelter dog!

I have 2 shih tzus, 1 9lbs junior, and one 20lbs jack, jr is brown and white, with a bitchy attitude he thinks he is the bigger one, and jk thinks he is the baby, he is got the best easy going personality, they both compliment each other, their personality adapts to you, hypoallergenic, can be groomed at home, lovable, lap able, non barkers, if you get a good one, the best dogs in the world , low maintains, will exercise depending on you don't need a whole lot , won't do a whole lot lol, hates rain, can be potty trained easy

eWhatever you do,don't give it a sissy name. A large book on dogs written by a Veterinarian says they live up to their names so give it a bold name that a pit bull deserves but not an a ggresive one. How about Herculese. (My spell check doesn't know how to spell it either!)-

We had 4 dogs, one was Sam, Norwegian
Elkhound, the Australian blue Healer was Chee Chee (female) kinda sissy, huh?, another mix was Elmer and of all the dumb names, our first was Poogie (with a hard g). Yuk.

We have 4 dogs.
1st is our 4 and a half year old Pure bred German Shepard Named Abbey. She is a big girl weighing in at almost 100 lbs. She is head strong, but very loving and loyal to the family. Loves all kids and is a very good gaurd dog.

2nd is our 2 year old German Shepard/Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel/Husky mix named Oreo. She is black and white. She is a medium dog weigh in at about 45 lbs. She is very loving and loyal and good with kids. Like a shepard. But she is very skiddish and leary of strangers like the Cocker. She is high energy like the Golden and Husky.

3rd is our 8 month old Pit bull mix named Maggie. She is a small/medium dog weighing in at 31 lbs. She is loving and loyal to the family. She loves kids, but she also has the instinctual aggressive side of the pit bull. She is very high energy and very smart. She needs lots of strick training.

4th is a Pure bred English Mastiff Zues. He is 4 months old weighing in at 42 lbs. He will grow to be very large and weigh near or more than 200 lbs. He is very calm, lazy and very sweet. He is a loyal dog. He is playful but not high energy. He is good with kids. He is a very good guard dog already. But his bark is bigger than his bite right now.

ADDED LATER:

You could buy a pet rat. I know it sounds funny or nasty. I owned a few pet rats before and I will tell you they are very loving and very trainable. Check out the sites below they will give you lots of info on a pet rat.

I have a Jack Russell Terrier named Whoa-D. My hubby named him this for 2 reasons. One being he's so darn hyper and it's short for "whoa dog" and the other reason being there's a rap song by Wheezy that says "Whoa-D from the bottom of the map" in the chorus of the song. It fits because our dog is from New Orleans and was born the day after Hurricane Katrina.

well not sure if this will help b/c u already have one named Murphy but eh, I have a Husky-Lab mix named Murphy, (obviously male) and i used to have a Rottweiler-German Sheperd-Border Collie mix named Sweetie. (female) Both my dogs are(were) very BIG but with even bigger hearts. We came up with Murphy, b/c we are Irish and we wanted an Irish name (plus he looked kinda irish) and Sweetie was quite small when we got her and she just looked so sweet so thats how we named her. She was very sweet too! very energetic.

we have a douge de Bordeaux named KIA she is very clumsy when we take them for a walk we have to watch our legs with her cos of her size and weight she runs straight into you and as you can imagine it doesn't hurt her but it cripples us lol,we also have a staffi cross named Tye she is very loyal and wise and totally obedient she never does anything wrong , and we have two German Shepard sisters named trinity and Xena these two are very loving they jump up at us to give us kisses but if they get you on the floor you definitely will need a shower with all the saliva lol we got all four of ours from the animal rescue center . so if your sure about getting a new dog that where i would suggest you try .

I have 2 miniature shnauzers. They are half brother and sister. Their names are Dixie and Rebel. Dixie is silver gray and Rebel is a charcoal color but not exactly black. They are really smart dogs. They do have a stubborn streak. I love them very much. Dixie is a good big sister too. At night she grooms Rebel by licking him and celaning his face. He's so funny too. If he doesn't sit still she will boss him. Rebel loves his toys. They have a basket of toys and he will go and drag them out to play with but he has a special one that he's had since birth that he always takes out first.
