I am soon to be 50 years of age, no children, divorced, educated, re-entering the work scene after running my own business, I attract strong, established women because I project self confidence. My last marriage wiped me out. Would you risk a relationship with me knowing I am starting over?

We're close to the same age, and my answer would be yes. Whether another relationship would be successful would depend on how much baggage you're carrying after your divorce, whether you're bitter, or in general, stressed out with life altogether. The one question I have is whether you want to attract strong, established women. If that's what ended your first marriage, rethink how and where you meet these strong women. One thing I suggest that you do not do is get into a relationship too quickly, and then find someone who's fun, willing to compromise, and not have children still at home!

I would, and I am. I am 40 and divorced and my significant other (boyfriend sounds weird at this age!!) is also 40 and divorced, so there is no reason at all that you won't find someone to start over with.

With divorce statistics being what they are, plenty of people are starting over later in life. As long as you have truly healed from your divorce and are emotionally capable of beginning a new relationship, then it should be a new, exciting chapter for both of you. Just take the time you need to get yourself back BEFORE you enter into something new, since you said your last marriage "wiped you out".

Best of luck to you!

Divorce sometimes wipes out bank accounts along with our emotional well being account. The last time I looked, dating for a potential union was never about the money...unless you are dating a gold digger or what ever they call them now.
Your life is your life with all the good and bad events and that has made you who you are today. The women you meet will either like it or leave it. Make no excuses.

No...you haven't given any information on your personal attributes. Are you phishing for a rich woman? Asking because you said " I attract stong, established women because I project self confidence". This gives the impression you are looking for a well to do (financially stable), secure employment. Good women (not gold diggers) look for what makes a man personally....a gentleman, (not an abuser), working (not unemployed)....loyal (not a cheater), etc.....

sometime its fair to give second chances if the chancer is fully recovered and ready to roll on and not roll over because of past wipe overs and wipe outs..its fair to confess to yur new lover past experiences that may effect the way u feel bout certain things. dont leave new lover in the blue, its not fair..dont outburst or go into a setback because yur new lover dont equip to the new change at first.time heals wounds so dont jump into something new until u jump fully out of the old.

Of course I would! It's not about where you have been, how long you were married, what kind of job you have, it's about the kind of person you are, if you are kind, caring, intelligent, not abusive, not lazy, willing to share the house work! LOL

Of course. If I care about someone, it's not because of what's in their bank account. It's the person.
