Vet's office now! Puppied can dehydrate very easily. With him having diarhhea and not eating, it's really a no brainer. If you had a baby, not eating and having diarhhea, what would you do? Commom sense

Has your dog been checked for parasites and worms? Sometimes Giardia causes stomach upset and diarrhea and takes awhile to treat. I rescued a pup that had it and it took months to finally eliminate it.
Also, since yours is a pup and just getting its first shot, sometimes a puppy is coming down with a serious disease like parvo and the first shot doesn't provide immunity. That's another reason to check with your Vet. If your puppy is eating a lot of rawhides and chewing things up that aren't typical, it may be sick from that.
So I'd definitely recommend a Vet visit. In the meantime you can see if he will eat any pumpkin pie filling, canned and available at grocery stores. You can give your pup about a fourth a cup of it every four hrs. It can help settle his stomach if it is just stomach upset.
If the Vet clears the dog healthwise, you might want to consider changing your pup's food gradually to something that does not have wheat or corn. Some great puppy foods are: Royal Canin, Nature's Recipe, Natural Balance and others. Try a meat source that is different as well as some dogs are sensitive to some meats. I have a dog that was like that as a puppy and I had to put her on a Venison blend which she has done really well with. For variety I sometimes use duck, rabbit and fish blends. All these she tolerates but she does not tolerate dog foods with chicken or lamb.

It is not normal for dogs not to eat. Healthy dogs are
usually hungry at their mealtime. When I
have a dog that does not eat, the first thing I do
is take his temperature. Do you know how to do
that, and what normal should be?
Next I check for signs of dehydration. In a young
dog, if you pinch some of his skin into a "tent" shape
and it stays tented up for a moment after you release
it, he's badly dehydrated and needs a quick trip to the
vet. If the inside of his mouth is tacky or dry instead
of nice and wet, he is probably somewhat dehydrated,
and you need to do something about it.
I've often heard that dogs can go several days without
food and come to no harm, but IME they can also get
into a cycle of anorexia and dehydration that turns into
real distress.
Poisoning is another possibility. If he seems at all
listless or unusual in his behavior, I'd get him to the
vet ASAP.
If he has a temperature or is dehydrated, I would take
him to the vet. Otherwise, I would call the vet, describe
the symptoms, and follow their advice.
could be the pedigree food doesn't like it, try to change to nutro foods or science plan and if it stays the same call the vet immediately..
hope will be OK!!! cheers!! Tc u and Ur dog

Well I'm not a fan of pedigree foods. I think they are just awful!!!
Sounds like he does too with the diarhhea. You need to take him to the vets and have him checked out. Pups can dehydrate in a very short time. If you can't take him in then give your vet a call, he can better tll you what to do than anyone here.

If the puppy is still under 3 months get a strainer and run the dog food under some water to soften it... if the does not work try wet it down but a little bit and then go out and buy dog food gravey and stir it in and he should eat it if not time to try new food. Also if you have a crate for him put the food in there w/him and leae him sometimes they will eat just to be w/ you.

You should take him to the VET ASAP. He could be sick. Puppies get very sick easily. He can have worms or worse Parvo (sp), but hopefully not. Not sure what the symptoms are. Call a local Vet and ask for advice now.

First of all change his food. Pedigree has the nutritional value of Fritos corn chips. Get him a good natural one. I recommend Natures choice chicken and rice formula. Also mix in some wet food he will eat with much more gusto and gain his weight.
