I make up so many exscuses not to work out but i can't seem to motivate myself to do it.... i have to lose like 20lbs to be happy with my body i am 5/6 145 help any good advice?

get a friend to force you into working out every day for two weeks. The habit will keep you going.

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

I am in a similar boat, only I'm still nursing. I put old "pre-baby" pictures on my fridge and my coffee table (for when I want to sit down and not exercise). Motivation is personal and has to be for you. Try rewarding yourself too. Each time you lose five pounds, go get a new pair of shoes or something. I suggest that you try body cleansing. I tried it and really got lean quickly. I lost 15 pounds in 9 days and also 3 inches off my waist. I do body sculpting so getting leaner was my goal. You need to get together with a girlfriend.I find it way more easy to exercise with a buddy cause if you do it alone eventually get bored & then you'll quit.Believe me I know!!Oh & definitely do some cleansing.It 'll help a little but definitely exercise!Best of luck.

Honestly....this sounds SO cheezy....but if you, or someone in your family has Playstation 2....get dance dance revolution....you'll totally forget you're working out. Also, get a buddy to work out with! It makes it SO worth it!
