Mohammed was portrayed as a conquerer and blood-thirsty warrior in the koran, so why is he loved by Muslims when he made war with a group of people for no reason, then give them a choice of converting to his one true religion or be beheaded?

Salahuddin was a merciless warrior as well who rarely took prisoners. Most of the Christians captured during the crusade were quickly beheaded if they didn't convert to his one true religion. The others luckily enough to be spared were forced into slavery. Sure, he did allow for a few wealthy ones to buy their freedom from slavery so he could pocket a few $$$, which was cool of him. But doesn't Islam reverring warriors, conquerers, and beheaders show that you have to murder or convert someone at the end of a blade to be a hero? Sounds a little different than stories of Lincoln being honest or Washington tossing a silver dollar across the Delaware.

Jesus is the way, the truth , and the life.. Nobody gets to the father except through him. I honestly dont know how people can reject the gospel and chose the road that leads to eternal death(not believing that Jesus is the Messiah)

Oh my you've just taken ignorance to a whole new level!

You've never read the Quran, if you have shame on you for blatently lieing. If you but everything into context you can see exactly why those wars or any fighting took place. So read the Quran.

Lets take for example the Crusades, when the Christian Crusaders captured Jerusalem in 1099, Raymond of Agiles gave an account of what happened:

Some of our men cut off the heads of their enemies; others shot them with arrows, so that they fell from the towers; others tortured them longer by casting them into the flames. Piles of heads, hands and feet were to be seen in the streets of the city. It was necessary to pick one's way over the bodies of men and horses. But these were small matters compared to what happened at the temple of Solomon, a place where religious services ware ordinarily chanted. What happened there? If I tell the truth, it will exceed your powers of belief. So let it suffice to say this much at least, that in the temple and portico of Solomon, men rode in blood up to their knees and bridle reins.
August C. Krey, The First Crusade: The Accounts of Eye-Witnesses and Participants, Pinceton & London, 1921, p. 261

This account describes the violent and barbaric action of the Crusaders. However we see a stark contrast between these Crusaders and the actions of the Muslims when they recaptured Jerusalem in 1187. There was no massacre, looting or revenge.
Led by Sallahuddin Ayyubi the Muslims captured many of the Crusaders. The Crusaders families appealed to Sallahuddin to release them, he decided to ransom them. However he paid the ransom for many of them.

The Christians were pardoned and allowed to leave if they paid a small tribute. Again Sallahuddin paid this for about ten thousand of the people there and his brother paid for seven thousand.
Those too poor to pay were allocated a special gate where they could leave. In addition they were provided with transport and safe passage. (You can watch the film, Kingdom of Heaven wihch gives a similar account.)

Again you can see no one was forced to convert to Islam.

I don't think so. From the bible, Saul slaughtered a whole city. And he was considered a hero. David killed ALOTof people and he was considered a hero. The Red Sea killed the entire army of Pharoah in Egypt. Isn't that how heros become heros, by conquer and saving? Even so I don't believe that Mohammad was only a merciless killer. From the books I've read he was a prophet from God.

??? Are you studying History and Quran or Hearsay?

In the Quran Muhammad is confirmed as a gentle, humble person whom is very concerned about people.

In History he is revered as a person whom made peace treaties between tribes and religious groups. An advocate for women's rights and the poor. And by many Western and Eastern Historians as the indisputable greatest and most influential person to date.

Read Karen Armstrong's "Biography of Prophet Muhammad".
She is not Muslim, but studies religions.

Peace Be Upon You.

Okay. And George Washington was a WAR GENERAL before president. Andrew Jackson was a very successful WAR GENERAL before president.
Grant - War General

Noticing a trend?

Okay.. Lincoln was an honest man, but how does throwing a coin across a river make Washington a hero?

The sickest twist is the notion that suicide bombers are somehow heroes. The truth is they are not martyrs but murderers, and the greatest of cowards. Unwilling to face the judgment of Allah and pay the possible consequence of their sins, they pursue what they consider to be a one way ticket to heaven through strapping explosives around their waist and blowing themselves up in the midst of their perceived enemies. They imagine this qualifies them for death by jihad. What it qualifies them for is eternity in hell and the torment of the wicked, forever damned for their monstrous crimes in the name of Islam.

What are you talking about??? You're spreading lies! Shame on you!

I happily became a Muslim 6 years ago...it's a religion that makes perfect sense. Nobody forced me into it, of course! I also know many, many other women who have embraced Islam, and we're all very happy. I have never heard of anybody being forced into Islam.
